DeLaval herringbone rotary HBR

Optimizes cow traffic flow with full control from the inside with calm cows and convenient milking routines.

Key benefits

High throughput

Rotary parlour systems facilitate fast cow entry, faster than any other parlours, and no other system allows fixed work stations for the milkers. They don’t need to move, the cows move to them. Then it is easier to maintain consistent milking routines for high quality work and throughput.

Consistent smooth cow flow

A key factor for high throughput. DeLaval HBR has a unique pivoting sequence gate at each milking place, which enables fast entry for each cow, straight into the right position. Entry is so easy that new cows quickly learn how to do it. To take full advantage of the sequence gate concept, DeLaval has developed and patented innovative feed mangers that speed up cow flow onto the platform.

Full control from the inside

With a DeLaval HBR the milker stands in the centre of the action. There are no barriers to the milker moving from the entrance to the exit section. One milker can control the whole system, but it is also easy to accommodate more milkers for large herds. All milking points can be monitored from any place inside the rotary. And as you see more of the cows in an DeLaval HBR it provides for closer interaction – it is easy to check cow health status at a glance.

Adjustable for best performance

Your dairy farm is unique, DeLaval has the knowledge and experience to take care of your dairy future. To perform at a top level you will need a system that optimize the daily work.

We care for your cows

All the components of our HBR system are designed for the most comfortable and smooth cow traffic. The entrance gate is designed with extra space. The individual sequence gate concept treats each cow gently. To keep cows calm as they come closer to the exit, a second gate can be placed outside the platform.

Prepared for herd expansion

Rotaries are an excellent choice when you plan for future herd expansion. Rotary platforms have such high potential throughput, they can easily adapt to larger herds with a moderate increase in the time spent on milking. No further investment on equipment or buildings is required. This makes rotaries a preferred choice for professional and fast growing farms.
