DeLaval submersible manure agitator

The agitator works in a horizontal position and is mounted on a lifting system. The lifting system is made out of stainless steel and has a manually operated winch which allows for easy moving of the agitator up and down or sideways in the pit. An adjustable motor bracket is available as an option which can tilt the agitator 20 degrees up or down. In barns with slatted floor the agitator is mounted in a hot dipped galvanized steel frame that slides on a Z-profile. It is easy to lift the frame through a centralized eye bolt, no nuts or bolts are needed in order to lift the agitator. This enables the user to install or maintain the agitator in a simple way. The design of the frame make it possible to install the agitator in many ways.

The housing is made of casted iron with high precision. The agitator has double mechanical sealings in silicon carbide and graphite-ceramics between motor and propeller. The motor has double thermal probes, preventing overheating and preserving operational life span of the motor. A humidity probe is available as an option upon request. The humidity probe works as a safety switch which turns of the agitator if it detects oil leakage from gearbox.

Electric motor, mechanical components and propeller are designed to achieve high efficiency in axial thrust and low energy consumption. The agitator is equipped with a planetary gearbox which is more energy efficient and have a longer life time. Thanks to the large assortment with many motor sizes it is planned for the right motor size according to farm requirements. The propeller is made out of stainless steel. The design makes the propeller self-cleaning which gives a constant reliable performance and less maintenance.

This agitator can be installed in pump pits or lagoons with a depth of up to 5 meters, thanks to the design of the lifting system. The agitator slides on the vertical beam with low friction due to plastic guides.
