Robust
DeLaval alley chain drive AKD250 is probably the strongest chain system in the world with a maximum chain of 550 meters powered by one drive unit. The drive unit is equipped with planetary gearbox which makes it energy efficient and long lasting.
Ready to work
Fast and simple installation. The drive unit comes preassembled and pre-wired. Just place it where it needs to be then connect the motor and chain.
Flexible planning
The drive unit is compact and can be placed in several different positions which enables multiple possibilities in the planning of the barn. The corner wheels on the drive unit are adjustable which adds additional flexibility in the location of the drive unit. The system can operate different alley lengths.
Low power consumption
With a planetary gearbox a motor of only 1,5kW run the chain. The scraper run at a speed of 4 meters per minute which gives the cows enough time to pass the scraper in a calm way. This low speed results in better hoof health.
Advanced cow safety
Despite the huge force of the drive unit the control box use a precise measure of the scraper load. Independent of where in the alley an obstacle exist – the AKD250 system always detects it. The obstacle detection level can be set as a % of the current load.
