DeLaval treatment front is a specially designed feed fence for use in calving boxes and sick boxes. It allows fixation of the animal which makes the handling safe. An integrated telescopic gate make it possible to fixate the animal sideways to the wall.

Safe working environment
Entering a calving box or a sick box is often a risky business. A cow with a new born calf can act aggressively if you need to mark or move the calf away from the mother. Treating a sick cow, insemination or pregnancy control can be a risky task that often requires two persons. The new DeLaval Treatment front has a self locking eat opening so the animal locks itself automatically when needed. An integrated telescopic gate with chain can fixate the animal which limits the sideway movements. With this new solution the animal handling can be done in a safe way by only one person.
Easy handling
The integrated telescopic gate is easy to open and swing out. The length of the gate is adjusted to correct length and then locked with a wing nut. A chain fixate the gate to the wall with a carabiner. The chain can be adjusted to the correct length. The gate has two fixation points for the chain to fit different animal sizes. It is included two wall brackets for installation in solid wall or plywood sheet.
Robust
The feed fence with gate is welded and doesn´t require any additional mounting. It has 2" upper and lower pipe and a welded frame. The feed fence. Carabiners and chain has been thoroughly tested on beef cows.
